Twitter Bio: Why Your Twitter Biography Matters
TWITTER BIO: WHY YOUR TWITTER BIOGRAPHY MATTERS
Many people are on Twitter – that is a fact. But if you want to attract certain types of people, your biography comes into play. What you put in your bio is very important. Here are some of the reasons why.
•Some people check out your bio first. So the bio becomes a reason of why they follow you or not. This is especially true if they are looking for a particular type of person. If your bio is not filled out or doesn’t contain any descriptive information, you may be not getting potential followers. You have got 160 characters in your bio; use them all wisely!
•People who have a bio attract more followers. Many potential followers have a reason why they are looking at your bio….they are interested in what you do or how you may be of assistance to them. These potential follows do really want to get to know you!
•Although not really a part of your bio, make sure you put your picture on your Twitter page. I have personally talked to people who are not even interested in following others due to the fact that a picture isn’t posted. So make sure you get a picture on your Twitter page!
•Also, make sure you post your website link if you have one. This helps give you a little more credibility, and attracts more followers. If you are a business person, this website link is crucial – especially if you are trying to promote something.
•Twitter is a very powerful tool with a large audience. So to enhance the effect you will have in getting new followers and keeping those followers, make sure that your bio is a part of your Twitter page that you have completed. That bio may just make all the difference in the world when you are looking for targeted followers!
To sum it up, make sure your Twitter site has your bio on it. Be real with your bio. Tell your likes, dislikes, and interests. However, make sure that you don’t present yourself as “overqualified” in a particular area or field. People just want to see the real you – and the real you is what will attract more followers! Happy tweeting!!!!
